When I am asked to document a birth story, there is no greater privilege for me. There is such intimacy in sharing this experience with my clients as they welcome a new baby, and I take this honor very seriously. As your birth photographer I am focused solely on you and your family for as long as it takes to meet your little one. Your images will tell your birth story the way it really happened, from beginning to end, with artistry and compassion, whether you deliver in a hospital, a birthing center, or your home.

WHY HIRE A PRO?
Birth photography is a pretty crazy concept to some people, and it may not be for everyone. But hiring a pro allows you to have every detail documented, while your partner is fully present with you and your new baby instead of trying to capture the big day on a phone. The lighting and other circumstances can present a challenge for taking good photos, which is what I'm there for! Trust me--you won't be able to remember everything about this very important day, so hiring a photographer takes that worry away.

FIRST STEPS
I encourage you to start thinking about booking your birth photographer as early as possible. Because I am on call for each birth, I only accept one birth client per month. I try to meet in person with you at least once so that on the day, we've already started getting to know each other. I have a questionnaire we will go through in order for me to get all the details.

GETTING READY
As of 38 weeks gestation, I will be on call for your birth. This means I stay close to home with my gear packed, ready to go day or night. I let other clients know that I may have to reschedule their sessions for a birth. We will stay in close touch as your due date approaches.
04.
THE BIG DAY
Every birth is different, but I generally plan to arrive when you are 4-5 cm dilated. I stay until the baby is settled and we've gotten all the photos you were hoping for. Meeting older siblings or family members can be included if shortly after the birth, or you can add on a Fresh 48 session the next day.
THE COLLECTIONS
